Do You Know Me Now?

Do You Know Me Now? explores relationships and personhood in people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The film takes a novel look at what it means to be a person living with dementia who is still very much alive and possessing those traits upon which relationships may be built, even late into the disease. The project highlights stories of people with dementia and their loved ones who have found ways to connect — who have discovered joy, beauty and self-expression despite losses.

Judith Murray is a documentary producer/director & writer. She has also created successful TV series for CBC TV, Consumerscope, and “Steppin’ Out!” Her documentaries have aired on major national networks in Canada & the U.S. Subjects vary: nationalism in Canada with host Robert Stanfield in the CBC TV series, “Seeing Ourselves;” The Revolving Door” on serious mental Illness; reconciliation between the United Church of Canada & Canada’s First Nations peoples, “Hear Our Voices;” eco-variety environmental specials.
